Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to purchases of Dear Audio subscriptions, plans, add-ons, and one-time credit packages made through our website.

Payments for Dear Audio are processed by Paddle. Paddle acts as the merchant of record and authorized reseller for our digital products. This means that your payment, invoice, tax handling, subscription billing, refund processing, and certain buyer support processes are handled by Paddle in accordance with Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy.

  1. Digital Product Access

Dear Audio provides digital audio enhancement, cleaning, and processing features. Depending on the product you purchase, access may be provided through:

  • monthly subscription plans;
  • paid feature packages;
  • usage-based credits;
  • one-time credit purchases;
  • add-ons or upgrades connected to an active subscription.

Because Dear Audio is a digital product and access is usually granted immediately after purchase, refund eligibility may be limited once the product, subscription, or credits have been activated, accessed, used, or consumed.

This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights that may apply in your country.

  1. Monthly Subscriptions

Dear Audio subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly basis unless cancelled before the next billing date.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription management link provided in your Paddle receipt email, through your Dear Audio account billing area, or by contacting support.

Cancellation prevents future renewals. Unless required by law or approved by Paddle, cancellation does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period.

If your subscription is cancelled, you will usually retain access to the paid subscription features until the end of the current billing period.

  1. First Subscription Payment

Where required by applicable consumer law, customers may have a statutory right to withdraw from the first payment of a subscription within the applicable withdrawal period.

For customers in the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, this may include a 14-day right of withdrawal for certain digital content or digital service contracts.

However, this right may not apply once digital content or digital services have been accessed, used, processed, downloaded, streamed, or otherwise made available with your express consent to begin performance before the end of the withdrawal period.

  1. Subscription Renewals

Monthly subscription renewals are generally non-refundable unless required by applicable law or approved by Paddle on a discretionary basis.

Dear Audio does not provide automatic refunds for:

  • forgetting to cancel before renewal;
  • unused subscription time during an active billing period;
  • partial use of a subscription period;
  • changes in personal need or preference after renewal;
  • lack of usage where the service remained available.

You can avoid future charges by cancelling before the next renewal date.

  1. One-Time Credit Purchases

One-time credit purchases are digital usage rights that are made available shortly after purchase.

Unless required by applicable law or approved by Paddle, one-time credit purchases are non-refundable once the credits have been delivered, activated, accessed, used, or consumed.

If credits have not been used and you believe you are eligible for a refund, you must submit your refund request within the applicable statutory or discretionary refund period through Paddle or Dear Audio support.

Used or partially used credit packages may be declined for a refund or may only be eligible for a partial refund at Paddle’s discretion, where permitted.

  1. Technical Problems or Product Defects

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing Dear Audio or using the features included in your purchased plan, please contact us first so we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue.

Please include:

  • the email address used for purchase;
  • the Paddle order number, if available;
  • a description of the issue;
  • screenshots or screen recordings, where helpful;
  • examples of affected audio files, where relevant and legally shareable.

If the issue cannot be resolved and there is evidence of a material technical defect or product failure, Paddle may issue a refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

  1. Abuse, Fraud, and Misuse

Refunds may be refused where there is evidence of:

  • refund abuse;
  • fraudulent activity;
  • repeated purchase-and-refund behavior;
  • excessive use of credits followed by a refund request;
  • violation of Dear Audio’s Terms of Service;
  • chargeback misuse;
  • attempts to manipulate billing, access, credits, or account limits.

If a refund is granted, access to the refunded product, subscription, add-on, or credits may be revoked.

  1. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests must be submitted through Paddle or through the support link provided in your Paddle receipt email.

You can request a refund by:

  • using the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle confirmation email;
  • using the support link in your receipt or Dear Audio billing area;
  • contacting Paddle buyer support;
  • contacting Dear Audio support at: hello@dear-audio.io

Refund eligibility is determined based on the product purchased, usage, timing of the request, applicable law, Paddle’s records, and Paddle’s Refund Policy.

If approved, refunds are usually processed back to the original payment method where possible.

  1. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a billing issue, please contact Paddle or Dear Audio support before opening a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider.

Opening a chargeback or payment dispute may result in temporary suspension of access to the relevant Dear Audio account, subscription, credits, or services while the issue is reviewed.

  1. Relationship with Paddle Terms

This Refund Policy is intended to explain how Dear Audio handles refund-related requests for subscriptions and credit purchases.

Because Paddle processes payments as merchant of record, Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply to your transaction. In the event of a conflict between this Refund Policy and Paddle’s mandatory buyer terms, Paddle’s terms and applicable law will apply.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
